Subscription & Billing Terms
Last updated:
TourIts Plus and Pro are optional monthly or yearly subscriptions bought through the App Store or Google Play that renew automatically until you cancel. If you cancel, you keep your plan until the end of the period you paid for and it expires that day; refunds are handled by the App Store or Google Play. In test and beta builds, no money is charged.
1. Plans
TourIts offers:
- Free: core features with limits (for example one packing list, one trip of up to 3 days, 20 online translations per day and one offline phrasebook).
- Plus: unlimited packing lists and trips, sharing, all travel modes, 3 offline map regions, unlimited and voice translation, all phrasebooks and 90-day proof recordings where the law allows.
- Pro: everything in Plus, plus unlimited offline map regions, offline on-device translation (when available in your app version), conversation mode, fair-exchange alerts and priority support.
The current features and limits of each plan are shown on the plans screen in the app. A TourIts account is required for Plus and Pro.
2. Prices and taxes
Planned prices are Plus at $3.99 per month or $29.99 per year, and Pro at $7.99 per month or $59.99 per year, or the local equivalent shown by the App Store or Google Play. Prices may include VAT or sales tax depending on your country. The price that applies to you is always shown before you confirm a purchase.
3. Test mode and beta builds
In test and beta builds (for example development builds or TestFlight), subscriptions may run in test or sandbox mode:
- No payment is requested and no money is charged.
- The app clearly labels test subscriptions as “Test mode”, and sandbox purchases are marked by Apple or Google.
- Test subscriptions may be reset, shortened or ended at any time, for example when real billing launches.
- A test subscription will never turn into a paid subscription automatically. Paid subscriptions only start when you confirm a purchase through the App Store or Google Play.
4. Payment
Payment is charged to your Apple ID or Google Play account when you confirm the purchase. Apple or Google processes the payment; TourIts does not receive or store your card details. We use RevenueCat, Inc., a subscription management provider, to verify purchases with the store and keep your plan in sync across your devices; it receives store transaction identifiers, the product you bought and an app user ID linked to your account, but never your card details. Your purchase is also subject to the terms of the store you buy from.
5. Automatic renewal
Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period (monthly or yearly) at the then-current price, unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the current period ends. We remind you 3 days and 1 day before renewal where notifications are enabled.
6. How to cancel
- iPhone and iPad: Settings app → your name → Subscriptions → TourIts → Cancel Subscription.
- Android: Google Play → profile icon → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → TourIts → Cancel.
- Test mode: TourIts → My subscription → Cancel.
Deleting the app or your TourIts account does not cancel a store subscription on its own; please cancel through your store as well.
7. What happens when you cancel
When you cancel, your subscription stays active until the end of the current billing period you already paid for and expires on that day. We send reminders 3 days and 1 day before, and a notification on the day it expires. After expiry you move to the Free plan. Your data is kept: content above Free limits (such as extra lists, trips or offline regions) becomes read-only rather than deleted, and becomes editable again if you resubscribe.
8. Refunds
TourIts does not provide partial or pro-rated refunds from within the app for unused time. Refund requests are handled by the store you purchased from under its policies:
- Apple: reportaproblem.apple.com
- Google Play: via Payments & subscriptions or Google’s refund request form.
This does not affect any statutory rights you have. If you are a consumer in the EU/UK, you may have a right to withdraw from a purchase within 14 days; by starting to use a subscription immediately, you may be asked to acknowledge that you lose this right once the service has begun, to the extent the law allows. Consumers in Israel may have cancellation rights under the Consumer Protection Law, 5741-1981, to the extent they apply to digital services bought through the app stores.
9. Free trials and introductory offers
We may offer free trials or introductory prices. The terms of each offer (length, price and what happens next) are shown before you accept. Unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the trial or offer ends, the subscription converts to the regular price. Offers are usually limited to one per person or account.
10. Upgrades, downgrades and plan changes
You can switch between Plus and Pro or between monthly and yearly billing. Upgrades usually apply immediately with a pro-rated credit handled by the store; downgrades and changes to a shorter period usually apply from your next renewal date. The exact handling depends on the App Store or Google Play and is shown before you confirm.
11. Price changes
We may change subscription prices. We will give you advance notice of any price increase, in the app and through the store, as required by law and store rules. Where required, you will be asked to accept the new price before it applies; if you do not, your subscription will end at the end of the current period. Price changes never affect a period you have already paid for.
12. Restoring purchases and multiple devices
Subscriptions are linked to your TourIts account and work on every device where you are signed in. If your plan does not appear, sign in with the same account and use “Restore purchases” on the My subscription screen, making sure you are signed in to the same Apple ID or Google account that made the purchase.
13. Changes to features
We continuously improve TourIts and may change plan features. If we materially reduce a paid feature during a period you have already paid for, we will notify you and, where required by law, offer a fair remedy. Features that depend on third-party providers or future app versions (such as offline on-device translation) are provided when available.
